18 Weeks!

Tyler is 18 weeks old! He is growing like a weed and gets more fun everyday. I think he's going through a growth spurt right now because he's eating SO MUCH! It's amazing how fast they grow.
Tyler has really been hamming it up lately! He gets to laughing so much that we start laughing and then he stops laughing....LOL. I've been trying to capture it on film but every time I get the camera out he stops. Little stinker!
I've been trying to sing nursery rhymes and play patty cake with Tyler but I can't remember any of them! How do you forget Patty Cake?! I can remember roll it and put it in the oven but nothing else...ugh! The other day I was trying to sing Old McDonald had a Farm and it was pretty much a disaster. So, I just started making it up! Rolf came home and was dying laughing at my "made up" version. The only one I could remember all the way through was Twinkle Twinkle and that's only because Mikayla sang it to me recently. Wow....my memory is really crappy....LOL! Poor Tyler....the combination of my bad voice and the wrong versions of the songs is bound to make him crazy.
Here are a few pictures from this week.....
Tyler is ready to start the day! Here he is hanging out in the living room while Mommy loads the car. I think he's watching the news......

Tyler went to visit Oma and Opa on Tuesday night! (He wouldn't take his eyes off of Daddy.)

Riding his horsey at Nanee's house. His eyes crack me up in this picture!

Holdin' the reins! Giddy up Horsey!
"Talking" to our friends at the bowling alley. :)
Poppy and Tyler

All dressed up for another day!

I love these little socks!
18 Weeks old!!!
Bumbo time!

Something was really fascinating on the bumbo toy.

Tasty too.....

Tyler's little toes crack me up....he always curls them when he's working hard or concentrating on something. I love baby feet!

Playing with his new toys. (I had some retail therapy at BRU during lunch the other day...)

Drooling and smiling at Daddy during dinner.

Tyler and Mommy :)

Three bibs and two outfits later, Tyler is ready for Friday! We had quite the "potty" morning. First, Rolf went to get Tyler out of his crib and he had peed everywhere. I had no idea how that much pee can come from one baby! So, we get him changed. 30 minutes later I'm changing his diaper and he projectile pees on HIS face! OMG! Poor baby was looking at me like, "What in the world...where did that come from?!" Seconds later he decides to spit up everywhere. Poor baby was a mess. I have no idea how we made it to Andrea's on time today....LOL!
My happy little buddy.....

4 Month Appointment
Thursday, July 30, 2009
I took Tyler for his 4 month appointment yesterday. He weighs 14 lbs. 14 oz. (50th percentile) and is 26 in. long (90th percentile). I thought he was going to weigh more.....it sure does feel like more when I'm carrying him around! (and...I guess our meat scale isn't that accurate. LOL) Dr. Turner said he is "long and lean." I guess he doesn't stand a chance to be short!
Tyler has been having some pretty bad spitting up lately (or "cough up") as Rolf calls it. I was a tad bit concerned but not too much because he isn't in any pain. He spits up and goes on his merry way. (it's more of a laundry problem....LOL!) Dr. Turner's first suggestion was to feed him smaller meals more frequently throughout the day but when I told her how much and how often he eats she said it sounded like I was already doing that. So, we're thinking about adding a little rice cereal to his breastmilk bottles during the day. If you know me, you know that I will research this to nauseum and then make a decision.....LOL.
Tyler also had to get some shots yesterday. He did pretty good! He didn't cry at all with the first one....just kept smiling and flirting with the nurse. The second shot he cried pretty hard but only for a short period. Thank goodness! That is not my favorite part of the appointment. :(
Other than that, Tyler is growing and thriving right on schedule!!! Here are a few more pictures from our appointment yesterday.
Talking to Mommy and waiting for Dr. Turner.

Something on the floor was really interesting....haha!

My lil' cowboy...4 months old!
Monday, July 27, 2009
I took Tyler for his 4 month cowboy shot yesterday and I think it turned out so cute! I can't believe how much he changes in one month. I'm very glad I'm taking these. (And...I've stuck to my budget very well!)

4 Months!

Tyler has been sleeping in his pack-n-play for a couple of months but he's starting to get too big for it. It'll be fine for the weekend but everyday sleeping is looking a little uncomfortable. So, I moved him to his crib for the first time on Friday night! He did great and only woke up 2 times! I was expecting him to wake up more than that because he was in an unfamiliar bed but he did great! I put his bumper back in his bed for Saturday night because he kept banging his head on the side on Friday night (he moves a lot when he sleeps).
Saturday morning...happy little crib sleeper!!! (the blankets were my attempt to get him to stop banging his head on the bed until I could get his bumper back in....I wasn't about to do that at 2am!)

Tyler has been making the cutest little gurgling noises lately. I tried to capture it on film but of course he wouldn't do it. Nevertheless, I think these videos are cute.
I had some more time to scrap some of my belly shot book this weekend too! Here are two more pages. I am so happy I'm doing this book. I've had so much fun going back through my pictures...I can't believe it's already been a year since this first picture! (and for the record, I'm feeling a whole heck of a lot better today than I was this time a year ago! It's all worth it though!)
