Max the Tow Truck and Tyler's Tooth

I came home one day and Tyler met me at the door, led me into the front room and showed me this.....

....... and then this......

He pulled his (not even that loose!) tooth out with Max the Two Truck.
He was so proud of himself and I was trying not to gag!

He tells me that "the first try just cracked the tooth so I tied it on again and then it was hanging by a thread so then I got a paper towel, blood everywhere, and yanked it out."  GAG GAG GAG!!  BOYS!

Fashionista!

When I think of little girls I think of dressing up!!  I'm not sure the vision in my head involved goggles and two water guns but Hailey rocks her look no matter what!  HEHE.

Wearing our pool toys as shoes- LOL!

I bought Hailey some plastic heels but she isn't quite there yet- I'm sure the time is coming!

Peppa party ears/hat and St. Patrick's Day necklace  ;-p

This next picture is me playing dress up with my real life baby doll, ha!  I LOVE this outfit, shoes and necklace!

I've been anxious to get a pair of Mini Melissa's (shoes) for Hailey but they're $$$ so when a friend was getting rid of hers for cheap, I jumped on them!  So happy I did, they're adorable (and comfy!)

Happy Friday!

Tyler's First Offshore Fishing Trip

The Saturday we returned from our Frio River trip, Tyler had his first offshore fishing adventure!  He's been offshore in Florida but when you can drive 5 minutes and be at the fishing hole, it's a lot different than offshore fishing in Sargent.  I've been hesitant to let him go because it's a very long day on the boat (6am-4pm) and it's HOT!  I grew up going offshore since I was probably Hailey's age but it's just different when it's YOUR "baby!"  Needless to say, Tyler had an absolute blast and this marks many more offshore days for him, I'm sure!

Offshore fishing is a lot different than the cut- bigger fish with a bigger fight!

The night before this trip I watched my Dad and Tyler get ready like two little boys- it was AWESOME!  I know my dad was so happy to share this day with his grandson.

Buddy boat! (Since our boat only has one motor, our guys always team up with a friend's boat just in case they run into engine trouble)

First red snapper!

For the most part the weather was great but there were a few pop up showers and even a water spout!

They had a great day!  Tyler was most excited about "dos sharks!"

Frio River: Days 6 & 7

It's my last post about our fun Frio River vacation.

Day 6 was another great one!  We started the morning with a long Ranger ride exploring more of the ranch.

Here we are backed up on the side of the hill overlooking the green hole.

We drove to some new parts of the ranch and the views were incredible!

Here we are down in the valley from the picture above.

Weee!

After a 2+ hour ride we were all pretty HOT so we went back to the cabins and changed into our bathing suits for some swimming!  On the way to swim Hailey, Rolf and I stopped to look for some arrowheads.  Miss priss was looking adorable in her sunglasses.  :)

Rocks + purse = the perfect toddler entertainment!

The kids were anxious to head back to the springs so they could "slide" so off we went!

This time we drove our Ranger right up to the springs (from the backside off the road)  That was a fun adventure and Tyler was fired up, of course!)

I gave the initiation chair a try.  Brrrr!!

Hailey wasn't so sure about the springs so she clung to Daddy.

The kids must've done the "springs slide" 100 times on this trip!

Coming out of the Springs.

We went back to the house for Hailey's nap and the rest of us just hung out around the lake.  It was so relaxing!  Tyler and Molly went fishing in the paddle boat.  They had a blast!

Rolf had to go up on the hill on the highway to make a few phone calls and if you look closely in the picture below you can see the Ranch's lake.

More views of the Ranch from the highway.

Beautiful property!

That evening we hung out by the slides, swam in the lake, drove around looking at deer and enjoyed our last night of vacation.

Day 7:
The last morning of vacation we woke the kids up early, loaded the truck and then set off for one last adventure on the Ranger before we headed out.

Deer!

Hailey and the binoculars...

A nice buck!

There was one steep road Rolf wanted to try before we left so off we went.  It doesn't look steep here but it was!

We finally made it to the top and the views were incredible!

Time to head down...... Tyler was scared (which surprised me!) so he hid his face in the binocular cover.

Straight down!

Halfway down.

These trip posts wouldn't be complete without mentioning that one of Tyler's favorite parts of RRR was the equipment area.  We visited this area multiple times a day.  I have to admit, it was quite impressive the amount of equipment they had!

"Dull-bozer"

I love that Tyler still loves equipment as much as he does.  I don't think he'll ever outgrow that, like his Pop. :)

After the equipment area we ventured to the blue hole for one last look.

The sound, the smells, the scenery..... it's all so wonderful!

It was only 9am and the water was FREEZING but that didn't stop Rolf from taking one last dip.  Hailey's expression was about how we were all feeling watching him dip in that cold water!

While Rolf finished loading the Ranger I played with the kids at the playground.  I'm telling you, this place has it all!

Until next time!

We decided that instead of heading back home we would head to the creek to extend our vacation over the weekend.

Hailey was pretty restless for most of the ride but she was entertained by window clings for a good 45 minutes.

For some reason she thought they belonged on her neck like a necklace.  She was making me laugh so hard!

I'll be honest and admit that the ride home wasn't my favorite.  Vacation ending was a sad reality and after listening to nearly 5 hours of phone calls from Rolf's work, we were all feeling pretty grumpy by the time we made it to the creek.  HAHA!

I'm so thankful we were able to take this little (big!) vacation to the Frio River.  We made some great memories and we're already looking forward to returning next year!
