"I won dance"

Rolf recently installed some new speakers on the porch at the creek house and Tyler absolutely LOVES them. He is always telling me, "I won dance porrrrrch." Cracks me up! Friday afternoon he got away from me when I was changing his clothes and ran outside naked and started dancing. ha! After I got him dressed I grabbed the camera to capture his moves on film. I absolutely love watching him dance on the porch!

(warning: you may want to turn your volume down because all you can hear is my annoying dog barking instead of the music)
Porch Dancing

Lots of fun summertime pictures to come!

Truck Driver

Every night when Rolf gets home Tyler runs as fast as he can to the truck and demands to "drive." Driving the truck also means that Tyler wants the "wadio on" so he can rock out. Cracks us up!!! Here are two videos I took last night....

Truck Dancing1
Truck Dancing2

Can't you see Tyler doing this when he's 16? me too..... Except it'll probably be 3:00am and I won't think it's as "cute" anymore. lol!

Here are some other fun things Tyler has been doing and saying lately:

  • I posted a couple of weeks ago that Tyler finally learned to say his name but it's not "Ty-wer" anymore, it's "Tire." ha!

  • The other night we were driving down the freeway and Tyler said, "Dadda, I won go Home Tepo." OMG it's already starting...ha! It was totally out of the blue too!

  • Hot wod- he loves Boppy's hot rods and has several matchbox cars that he has named "Boppy hot wod."

  • Wace Car- yes, there's a difference between race car and hot rod, Tyler will show you!

  • Hold you. I LOVE this one about as much as I love getting kisses from my little man. Whenever he wants me to pick him up or carry him somewhere he throws his arms in the air, jumps and says, "Mommy, HOLD YOU!" (My friend's little girl used to do this and I thought it was the cutest story. I never even prompted him to say it so I was surprised that he was saying the same thing. I think it's so sweet!)

  • Mommy, curry dis. (carry this)

  • Ride Dada Boat, Ride Boppy Boat- Tyler has named his toy boats in the bathtub and last night he was trying to ride them. ha!

  • This morning I took the corner a little too wide on the way to school and there was a car coming from the other way (don't worry, I wasn't even close to hitting them). Just about that time I heard Tyler say, "Uh-oh car comin' " Ahhhh! Backseat driver alert!

Haircut

Wellll.......

Apparently Kirsten and I celebrated too soon when we thought we had figured out the perfect setting for Tyler's haircuts. The tractor DID NOT make him happy this time around. Poor little guy gets SO UPSET!

Luckily a little wagon ride saved the day!

Preeeety sure my neighbors thought we had lost our minds as I pulled the kids as fast I could in my heels while Kirsten jumped out from behind the car to "scare them" all in an attempt to make Tyler feel better. Things we do! lol!

We ended the haircutting session with Mikayla getting stuck in the cozy coupe. HA!

Horsey Ride

Or "Who-E Wide" if you're Tyler...hehe.

Aquarium Wedding

Weekend before last another one of the "kids" from our group got married. The wedding was beautiful and the reception was awesome! It was at the Downtown Aquarium. We've never been down there so it was fun to explore the place. It amazed us how much "stuff" they put on 7 acres in downtown Houston!

Tyler loved the "sish"!

Absolutely beautiful!

I think Rolf would love this picture because it looks like Tyler is daydreaming about a big ol' redfish! I know Daddy would love to catch one of those!

We walked upstairs to the reception and there was a scuba diver welcoming us...it was neat!

Congratulations Kandice and Travis!!!

Father-daughter dance

(Can I just say that the father/daughter, mother/son dances used to never phase me but for some reason when I saw Kandice dancing with her daddy it just hit home that we're all grown up and before too long we'll be dancing at our kids' weddings. Okay, that's a bit extreme but seriously....time goes by way too fast! I guess becoming a Mom has turned me into a big ol' sap...ha!)

LOVE this candid picture of Kandice and her parents.

Seems like yesterday we were all 3 years old begging our parents to take us for 3-wheeler rides at the ranch. :)

AWESOME cake!!!

Tyler was Boppy's shadow all night!

We ended the night with a train ride around the aquarium. It was so cool!

The train stops in the shark tank for about 3 minutes with sharks swimming all around. Isn't this picture neat?!

We had a wonderful time! Congratulations to the newlyweds!!

Oh, snap!

Whew...where has the time gone? It's been almost a week since I posted which isn't like me! I'll attempt to play catch up this week. :)

In the meantime, here's a video of my little guy "snapping" at dinner last weekend. At the beginning of the video he's flirting with the little girl next to us and starts snapping around 20 seconds. I love it!

This weekend was paradise! Kirsten and I headed to Wallis, TX for a scrapbooking retreat. To say we had a blast would be an understatement! I have pictures but haven't downloaded them just yet. Here is a picture I snapped with my phone of all of my stuff packed up ready to go....

...behind the "keep Tyler out gate...."

...which was a major FAIL! ha!

Happy Monday!

Lunch Date

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day so I packed Tyler and I a pbj, hoped on our bike and we headed to the park for a picnic! Tyler kept saying, "eat wunch parrrrrrk!" He loved it!

Here's our set up :)

Tyler sat for a good 15 minutes (hours in toddlerville) but he was up and off the blanket before I could get my shoes back on. See him running as fast as he can away from me in this picture?! stinker!

Lunch is over, finished or not! ha!

Attempt at a self portrait in the truck.

"big swwing" (cracks me up that he calls the traditional baby swings "big" swings)

Not having a bit of fun is he?!

Here's a video of the little guy sliding. (I'm doing my videos a little different because blogger is making me mad. Click on "slide" below and it will take you to the you tube link. Hope this works!

There were some older kids rolling down the hill and Tyler thought it was the best idea ever. He was running after them, screaming, falling down and pretend rolling along with them. It was hilarious!! He sure thought they were playing with him!

Here he is at the bottom of the hill after he threw himself down, flailed his arms and screamed so they would look at him. Cracked me up!

Yelling at them

...and chasing them as they rolled down. lol!

Here are a few videos:

We had such a nice time!!
