Our Trees & Gingerbread House!
Friday, December 21, 2012
We're back in our house...SO HAPPY!!
We haven't had anywhere to put a tree until now so last night we headed to the tree lot (aka Home Depot..ha!) to get our tree. It would appear that we missed the "rush" this year.... LOL!
We've been working our tails off getting the house back in shape so decorating for Christmas has been pretty low on the list. This is the size tree that Mommy wanted to get (and felt like decorating)........
The boys had another idea.....
Which one did we end up with?!
The boys won!
I threw put the lights on last night, gathered a few ornaments, and we're calling it done. So glad we have a tree before Christmas. :)
Our first night home I pulled down a little tree from the attic so Tyler could decorate it for his room. He was THRILLED! We've added a little something everyday. Cards from the mail, school crafts, etc. :)
We also put together our gingerbread house. (busy busy busy!) Again, Tyler was SO excited! I love watching him enjoy our traditions. (the pre-built house was definitely the way to go!!)
Finished product!
A few other random things before I close this post....
Tyler made this cute Christmas tree at school. He was so proud of his work!
We had our annual girl's Christmas lunch (at the Jewish deli) yesterday. I believe this is our 6th year?! SO fun! Jess and Kirsten
Amanda and me
I have several house posts to come after the new year but I'm SO happy to see my living room in this condition! It's been a long time coming! :) Many, many thanks to my Mom (and Dad) for hosting Tyler and I for almost a month!
Tyler was so happy to be home too! He piled all of his toys and stuffed animals (aka "mimi's) in his bed.
No more concrete and I'm barefoot in my house...WOOHOO!!!!
We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Program!
Thursday, December 20, 2012
Last Friday was Tyler's Christmas Chapel and program. They sang 3 songs and it was SO cute! I live for this kind of stuff...I absolutely love it! Watching the other children is just as enjoyable as seeing your own. :)
The children came down the aisle ringing jingle bells and singing. My child passed right by me and I noticed he was making a hissing sound. It looks like he is smiling below but he is not....he was busy hissing. Cracked me up! I later asked him what he was doing and he said "I was hissing like dat racoon." Oh my gosh! hahaha!!
Still hissing........
In typical Tyler fashion, he didn't participate in the program but he DID sit down, hiss and yawn. ha!
After the program we went back to their classrooms for a party. So much fun to see them in their element.
Tyler's teachers are amazing and we love them!
My big boy!
Oil Ranch with Friends

I'm behind on blogging! Lots of stuff going on in our house and I'm so happy!
Last Thursday I took the day off work and went with Tyler (and some of his classmates) to the Oil Ranch. We had SO much fun! I loved seeing him with his friends and meeting some of the other moms. :)
Here is a group shot before we started our fun day. (Tyler is way in the back obsessed with the tractor attachment..of course!)
Boys on the farm!
Boys running to the train!
Friends Jackson and Finley. :)
They spotted a tractor!
Tyler and his pink chap stick. Jackson was very interested....
J: I need some! ha!
Screaming before the tunnel!
We had a GREAT day!!
Christmas Decorating & Misc.
Wednesday, December 12, 2012
We don't have any inside decorations up at our house (for obvious reasons!) so we helped my Mom decorate her tree and I snapped a few pictures.
Tyler was excited to put the ornaments on the tree.
Tractorrrr
Tyler likes to put all of the ornaments in one section.
I now present to you....our Christmas tree 2012....
I've wrapped most of our gifts but I don't have a place to put them so I neatly placed them in the crib in the room that Tyler and I are sharing at my parent's house and called it our 2012 tree. Don't be jealous! ;-p
Monday morning brought our first cold snap so we dressed the dogs in their sweaters. They looked SO cute!
Sunday morning we worked on the house a bit. It's all dusty again after the painters had to sand everything but at least the front rooms looked good for a day. Tyler thought the mop bucket was the coolest invention ever.
