We are so excited!!
Well, I am at least...the other two will come around. :) Tyler joined us for the big ultrasound and the tech was so good with him. She showed him all kinds of body parts, listened to the heart and then showed him the blood around the umbilical cord which was his favorite part, of course! She revealed that baby was a girl at the very end and Tyler threw his head back and said "ohhh no!" Rolf nearly passed out but said he wasn't surprised because I quote "girls cause trouble from the very start!" They'll change their tune. :)
We are also thrilled to learn that everything checked out fine with her heart, organs, growth and everything else the big ultrasound looks at. Heartbeat of 151 bpm. Bring on the pink!!!

19 Week Bumpdate
Sunday, December 28, 2014
How far along: 19 weeks, 1 day
How big is baby: Tomato (6 in.) The fruit/veggie comparison is weird to me. Isn't a sweet potato (last week) bigger than a tomato? ha!
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: This week didn't bring any cravings or aversions, just the need for food. All Christmas meals tasted fantastic so that's a plus!
Symptoms: I'm still having a bit of nausea when I don't eat enough. I need to concentrate on snacks more. My stomach also feels like it's full of acid (gross, I know) so I'm trying to get that back under control. It's always something with my picky stomach!
Headaches were still very present this past week but I finally bit the bullet and drank a full strength "coke" with my Tylenol. I'm not a huge soda person but the caffeine really did help the headache. Finally on Christmas Eve I was able to get rid of the headache I had since Saturday.
Ligament pain but that's bearable and means the bump should be growing soon! :)
Sleep: Sleep has been pretty good this week. I'm sure being purely exhausted from Christmas festivities helps!
Gender: WE FIND OUT ON WEDNESDAY!!! SO excited!
Movement: I've felt a little bit of movement this week but still nothing consistent. At least I know what those gas bubbles are this time. :)
Labor signs: Too early. Let's keep it that way!
The belly: I think I definitely have the beginnings of a baby bump and it's so fun! Some days it seems bigger than others but I'll take it.
Belly button- in or out: On the days I have a definite bump my belly button isn't as much of an "innie" as it has been!
Best moment this week: Christmas, hands down!
What I miss: Not having acid stomach every day. It's just gross!
What I am looking forward to: Ultrasound and doctor's appointment on Wednesday!
Milestones: We're almost halfway....what?!
What I'm loving: The anticipation of finding out what the baby is going to be! I'm excited to know if we need to pull our teeny tiny boy clothes out of the attic or buy all new girl clothes. Either way the anticipation is so exciting!
Worries: Prenatal vitamins. I mentioned last week that I was back on my prenatal protocol from Dr. Krupka but my stomach quickly let me know it hated that idea. *sigh* I'm going to try the chewable ones again. I'm worried about not taking vitamins consistently but my stomach just doesn't like that idea!
What's different this time: Lingering nausea, acid stomach that is still unpredictable, and zits.
Final thoughts: Make sure and vote in the gender poll on the sidebar!
Big Brother Tyler: Tyler thinks the baby is a boy and that's his final answer. We'll see on Wednesday!
19 Week baby bump!!
hahaha...kidding!!
Mom and I were just having fun at motherhood maternity wearing the fake belly. I got some super cute clothes though!
The real 19 week belly bump :)

My little picture partner was too interested in Legos during the photo session this week. :) I'll be back later in the week with the big reveal! Vote!
Merry Christmas!

18 Week Bumpdate
Monday, December 22, 2014
How far along: 18 weeks, 2 days
How big is baby: Sweet Potato (5.5in.)
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: I still don't have any real cravings and not a whole lot of aversions but food hasn't tasted as good lately as it has in the past few weeks. Boo. I'm not sure what's up with that but I hope it changes quickly. I did have my beloved Houston's veggie burger one night for dinner (and half for lunch the next day) and it's definitely still a winner. :)
Symptoms: Two words: Lingering nausea. Whyyyyy?!!! I honestly think I'm not eating enough even though I feel like I am. Sigh. I need to get this under control quickly because I was feeling so good there for a few weeks.
Headaches have been bothering me lately too but I don't know if it's our weird weather or pregnancy hormones, or a combination of both.
I'm feeling quite a bit of stretching going on in my uterus which is exciting!
Sleep: I've had really great sleep nights and really bad sleep nights lately. Par for the course I suppose.
Gender: We'll know on December 31st!!
Movement: Not as much movement this week but I've definitely felt something jabbing around in there.
Labor signs: Too early. Let's keep it that way!
The belly: Some days I feel like the belly is definitely there and some days it's definitely not there. Strange (and normal I think)! I've noticed the more active I am during the day, the less bloating I have. Bloating is so uncomfortable but it's kind of hard to be active when you're strapped to the desk all day at work! I guess we could say I have a weekday baby bump.
Belly button- in or out: in
Best moment this week: Finishing the final prep for Christmas!
What I miss: The couple of weeks where nausea wasn't a lingering symptom....
What I am looking forward to: Christmas!!!
Milestones: This weekend I finally started forcing myself to take all of my prenatal vitamins. I take supplements from my homeopathic doctor (did the same with Tyler) and there are 26 pills. I really like his protocol but it's a lot of pills to choke down!
What I'm loving: Hints of a real bump some nights!
Worries: It's not a constant worry but it's in the back of my mind....the anatomy scan. It's an exciting ultrasound but it's also kind of nerve wracking knowing they're looking at all of the major organs. I have over a week until this appointment but still!
What's different this time: Lingering nausea (with Tyler I was more than good to go at 16 weeks) and neck zits (really?!).
Final thoughts: Even though I've felt pretty complain-y in this post, I'm still over the moon to be carrying another little baby!! (just wish things would regulate a little..ha!)
Big Brother Tyler: Not too many baby related comments/funnies from the big brother today. I keep trying to ask him what he thinks the baby is going to be but he won't answer. Stinker.
18 Week bump photos
I started taking pictures without Tyler this morning because he was being slow. Here he is running into the picture with his "signature" look these days. (tongue out)
School Christmas Party!
Friday, December 19, 2014
This morning was Tyler's Christmas party at school! I remember the anticipation of the annual Christmas party when I was in elementary...so fun!
My mom is one of the homeroom "parents" that helped pull off the fun party. She comes to read almost every week and the kids all know her as "Tyler's grandma!" So cute!
The kids had a snack and made a craft.
Our beloved teacher, Mrs. Marshall! She is so good with the children!
We had a great time and are looking forward to two weeks free from school!!!
Side note: attending these parties are so fun as a parent but it also reminds me that I went into the right profession....I do not have the patience to care for 22 children that don't belong to me! My Mom on the other hand is right in her element and doesn't bat an eyelash.
A friend just sent me one more picture. :)
Santa
Thursday, December 18, 2014
We've seen Santa no less than 5 times this year but Tyler hasn't wanted to "see" Santa at all! My normally rough and tough boy says he's scared and just doesn't want to...sweet boy.
Sunday we went to the annual Liederkrantz Christmas Program/Party and Santa was there! The only reason Tyler agreed to go see him was because Santa had a special gift for Tyler. He said "I am not going to sit on his lap but I will stand next to him." ha!
T minus one week until the real Santa comes to our house....SO EXCITED!!
Tyler's initial Santa requests included a shed for the backyard (yes, the huge ones you see at Home Depot) and a GAS weed eater. "A gas weed eater Mom, not one you plug in or a toy one. A gas one like Dad's." Needless to say we've tweaked the Santa list a bit and the day Tyler mentioned he would like a basketball goal is the day I cheered loud and said "YES, that's a GREAT idea!" ;-p

My Little Elf
Wednesday, December 17, 2014
Wrapping Christmas presents is a huge undertaking but I love it! Before I could even crack an eye open on Saturday morning Tyler was begging to "get started with that wrapping!" He was really into helping and it was precious. My little elf was very serious about his job!
It might take me twice as long to wrap one gift but he gets SO excited about the present, wrap, tag, bow, etc. that it's worth the extra time.
Keepin' it real......wrapping makes a mess!!!
17 Week Bumpdate
Tuesday, December 16, 2014
How far along: 17 weeks, 3 days
How big is baby: Turnip (5in.)
Diet/Cravings/Aversions: I think my second "have to have it" food of this pregnancy is chick-fil-a's chicken salad sandwich with a side of coleslaw. I've made many trips to CFA lately, yum! Houston's veggie burger is still high on the list but $6 vs. $18 is a lot easier for me to spend every week. hehe. Other than that my diet has been pretty much the same as the past few weeks.
Symptoms: I've been having some more nausea this week but I know it's because I haven't been eating consistently enough. It's a busy time of year and I just forget to eat every few hours. I need to make a better effort at eating because it makes me feel so sick when I don't! Meals aren't the problem, it's the required snacks in between meals that I seem to be lacking.
I stopped my 4mg Zofran mid-week and so far so good! (knock on wood) I tried to drop my half unisom at night but after 3 nights of waking up nauseous I'm back on it. I slept much better last night and didn't feel as nauseous when I woke up this morning! It's so weird to me how a sleeping pill suppresses nausea but whatever works.
Sciatic nerve has been better this week, whew!
I've had quite a bit of stretching/cramping down below which I think can be contributed to ligament pain. It's uncomfortable but totally manageable.
Sleep: I wasn't sleeping good for a few nights but last night I slept like a rock!
Gender: We'll know on December 31st!!
Movement: I think so!!! It happens so fast that by the time I realize what the "bubbles" are they're gone but it's so neat. My favorite part of pregnancy!
Labor signs: Too early. Let's keep it that way!
The belly: Same story as last week: I'm feeling thicker around the waistline but not necessarily a cute baby bump shape just yet.
Belly button- in or out: in
Best moment this week: Starting to feel noticeable movement!
What I miss: I can't really think of anything specific. :)
What I am looking forward to: Christmas break! (totally not pregnancy related but I'm really, really looking forward to some time off of work!)
Milestones: 17 weeks...that is SO close to halfway!
What I'm loving: Knowing that we're only 2 weeks away from finding out what this little person is!
Worries: I'm still not consistently taking my prenatal vitamins because they turn my stomach. I'm going to try and add them back in slowly over the next couple of weeks. I feel like my diet is well rounded so hopefully that's taking care of things right now.
What's different this time: Same as last week: Zits, greasy hair and sore boobs.
Final thoughts: I can't believe Christmas is less than 2 weeks away! We are excited at our house!
Big Brother Tyler: Last night Tyler told me that he thinks I'm having a boy because boys make flat bellies on Mommies.
Now for the 17 week bump shot. I'm feeling pretty thick around the middle and anxious for a real bump to finally come! I think there is definitely the start of something going on! (Crazy big brother was hammin' it up for the pictures this week.)
My regular jeans are fitting fine but I've busted out some of my tighter maternity shirts because they're longer!
Friday Phone Dump
Friday, December 12, 2014
Here are a few phone pictures from the past month or so. :)
We celebrated my Mom's birthday the Saturday after Thanksgiving. We started with the annual parade of lights on the creek then dinner/dessert and finally presents! Tyler picked out a few items for NaNee and even picked the bag. So sweet.
St. Nicholas paid a visit to Tyler (and mommy!) last week. He brought some goodies as well as this super cool 3-D puzzle.
Last week Tyler got his folder signed and the writing was smudged. I knew what happened but made Tyler tell me. Yep, he tried to erase it. *sigh* It's too early for stuff like this!! (side note: his mother would have NEVER thought to do something like this, ever! Rolf....???) Mrs. Marshall confirmed my suspicions the next day. Ahhh!
Holiday in the Park photo right before Tyler pegged me with a
Pizza making party at Ms. Kirsten's house last Sunday night!
I took Monday off to clean out Tyler's clothes and toys. Organizing makes such a mess and this was about the point in time where I almost threw in the towel. It's such hard work and my sciatic nerve wasn't happy!
Daddy and his reindeer. (these are the horns from the deer Rolf shot in Kansas last week!)
The minute I picked Tyler up from daycare last night he had our whole night planned out. He was insistent that he wrap a gift for daddy. He gathered random items ("gifts") from around the house, wrapping paper, tissue, labels, etc. and went to town. He was very serious about his job!
I didn't notice all night but before I turned off the lights for bed I discovered that he had placed the present under the tree. So sweet and cute.
Lastly, some pictures of our decorated yard! It's hard to capture how it really looks but I LOVE it! We lined the flower beds with big red bulbs this year...my favorite!
I didn't notice until now but it would seem Jesus face planted in the yard and isn't present for this picture, ha!
TGIF!!
