Misc. Monday
Monday, September 28, 2015
It's a random Monday post with a bunch of pictures from the last couple weeks.
Look at those chunky arms...I love it!
I was cleaning pictures off of my Canon and noticed that I never blogged these tummy time pictures. I initially thought these had to be from two months ago but nope.....just 3 weeks! Gosh babies change SO fast!
Tyler still LOVES footie jammies so I wanted to make sure I ordered him some before they're all sold out. It's still not anywhere near time for them because it's H-O-T but I made him try on some old ones to see what size he needed. He refused to take them off and wore them for about an hour one night before admitting he was sweating. ha!
Little fisher boy proud of his catch.
They didn't get any trophies that day but Tyler was so proud that he baited his own hook, casted his own pole and brought them into the boat on his own!
Hailey's 4 month appointment was mid-morning so I decided to bring her with me to work for a couple hours instead of dropping her at Ms. A's house. She loved visiting with everyone and I loved having an office partner. :)
Feeding my baby is so much easier than pumping!
Isn't she sweet?! The reality of this picture is that she was making a big diaper that didn't end up staying in her diaper. She covered both of us in poop and she was the only one with a change of clothes!
I texted this picture to Kirsten one night after preparing my milk bags for freezer storage. 3 layers of milk bags baby!!! That's a lot of work!!!
This is the scene most nights when we get home. Look how she's holding onto her little friend :)
I'm loving the Ergo carrier! Hailey likes to be carried around at night (not complaining!) so I strap her on and we're off to the nighttime chore races together. :)
Sweet clean happy girl!
Having a baby in the house again is A LOT of work but I'm loving it SO SO SO much.
My Mom and I took the kids to the homecoming parade the other night. It was so much fun and brought back a ton of memories! Tyler was picking out what he wanted to do in high school based on how cool the floats were. ;-p
"Mom, take a picture of me and Hailey!"
"Now let's take a selfie" HA!
My kiddos watching a quick show in the morning before school.
Saturday morning Tyler and I woke up before Hailey (still at the crack of dawn!!!) and he asked if he could go in her room when she woke up. He stalked the monitor for any sign of her moving and then went to get her. I was watching on the other end of the monitor and should have started taping sooner. He was being SO sweet with her.
"Mom, I can't lift her out of the bed. Come help me."
We put out our Halloween decorations this weekend! We bought this foam house on clearance at the end of the season and I'll admit that I have a love/hate relationship with these things (no instructions!!). We put our new house together while Hailey was napping and it turned out cute (and we didn't argue, ha!)!
I put Hailey in her rock n play while I finished my lunch on Saturday. I looked over and she was passed out. She stayed that way for over 3.5 hours! She repeated that same nap on Sunday. Little girl was tired from the week!
Happy girl in her pink camo on Sunday.
Tyler played A LOT this weekend. He loves to be home with his toys. He set up an entire "underwater fishing area" and his lego men "caught 5 limits."
I finally changed out some pictures in the house and decided to put a picture of both my babies at 3 months on one display. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! I know Tyler was just this age yesterday.....
Tummy time watching brother play.
HAPPY girl before work today.
Talking to Mommy before we head out. Look at those ruffle pants....LOVE!
Can we do a quick comparison?! Hailey was 3 days old on the left. It's incredible how fast they grow!
Have a good Monday!
Tyler is 6.5 years old!

I blinked and somehow my first baby turned 6.5 years old! This boy keeps us laughing all the time!
Tyler (and I!!) love the Whip Nae Nae song/dance so we're constantly breaking it down around the house. Last night Tyler wanted me to take a video of him dancing so of course I didn't pass that offer up!
Whip Nae Nae Tyler style:
We're in the thick of 1st grade and with that comes a lot of writing assignments. Tyler isn't always excited about writing but he has some fun topics! His writing choice this week was about his four wheeler.
For those of you that can't read 1st grade writing (join the crowd!), here's the translation:
I have a 4 wheeler. I wear a helmet. I ride in the backyard.
I have a 4 wheeler. I wear a helmet. I ride in the backyard.
I have a trailer. I load my 4 wheeler on the trailer. I love 4 wheelers. It is fun to ride my 4 wheeler. It goes fast but I do not like when my 4 wheeler runs out of gas. My 4 wheeler is fun.
Some Tyler-isms:
- I don't like to sleep late on the weekends, I have stuff to do!
- Ms. Thomas told us at open house that she will often take "commercial breaks" during a lesson, turn on some music and they all dance. I asked Tyler if he danced during the commercial breaks. "No Mom. I don't dance because I don't want to show off any of my good moves." ha!
- I have a date. Well she might be my date. I hope she's my date. Her name is Isabel. Nicholas wants to date her too. (and so it begins.........)
- Mom, they give us free breakfast at Club Rewind! (I kindly informed him that the "free" breakfast was coming from Mommy's credit card. lol)
Our boy is growing too fast!!
Jumping FUN!

My friend Lindsey gave me her daughter's doorway jumper and I hung it up for Hailey to try last night while I was cooking dinner. She was a happy girl!
She's still a tad small for it so I stuffed some blankets behind her. She "jumped" for a good 15 minutes which is an eternity when you're 4 months old! ha!
Baby in the mirror :)
I love love love baby feet. If she stretches her legs out she CAN touch the ground but she didn't like that cold tile on her little piggies.
We have a roller!

This little girl.......
....rolled over for the first time on Saturday morning!
Video!
She thinks she's big time now!
Silly little spitting thing....
Recap of the weekend:
Friday morning started with Tyler telling me he was big enough to walk into school by himself and he knew how to sign in. "Mom, you can just drop me off like the other moms do." Look at the picture, he looks like he's in 5th grade! Waaa! This saves me a good 5-7 minutes in the mornings but still!!
Friday night we went to Willie's with my mom. Tyler scarfed his dinner down and was being so good. Mom offered him a milkshake and they brought the biggest one we've ever seen!
One happy kid!
Daddy out of town = sleepover in Mommy's bed!
Saturday morning this little lady played on her mat for a good 30 minutes. She was talking to and hitting all of her little friends.
We left to run some errands after her morning nap and when we opened the back door we noticed this....
Oops! She wasn't making a fuss so we had no clue!
That's better!
We were looking at Halloween costumes in Target and Tyler fell in love with this pizza slice. It cracks me up! We haven't decided if it's "the one" but it's definitely fun and would be easy to run in (because we all know kids don't walk and TOT!)
Sister sticking her tongue out in Target.
Sunday morning Hailey talked to me while I folded laundry. She seems to be doing better in the bumbo the last couple of times I've stuck her in there.
Friday night Brandon wanted to talk to Tyler on the phone and they apparently arranged their own play date for Sunday. We didn't have anything going on so we (Elizabeth and I) thought "what the heck, let's do it!" The boys had a BLAST!!! Dillan got to come too!
Meanwhile these little girls were holding hands on the play mat.
The boys rigged up the bike trailer so they could carry their equipment "while they went hunting."
Hailey taking notes in the background. ha!
Later that day we hung "Tyler's" deer in his room. Rolf brought both of his bucks from last season home and Tyler got to put one in his room. He was THRILLED!
Hailey had a rough Sunday afternoon/evening with little sleep so when it was time for bed she passed out HARD. She was sleeping so sweet.
That's a wrap! Back to Monday....
