"I hidin' "

Where's Tyler?

While driving down the road we often hear, "hi.....Hi....HI!" until we turn around to see Tyler hiding under his blanket. Cracks us up! If we act like we don't hear him he'll eventually say "I hidin', get meeee!" Kids are so funny!

Boo!

I know I just did a round of updates last week but Tyler is doing so many new and fun things that I have another round I need to document for my baby book today. :)

Boo!
I know I just did a round of updates last week but Tyler is doing so many new and fun things that I have another round I need to document for my baby book today. :)
- "Mommy I stinker" It took me awhile to figure out what he was saying but then it dawned on me. haha! Yes you are buddy!
- Last Sunday we stayed at the creek until Tyler woke up from his afternoon nap (he only slept in a t-shirt and diaper). He was half asleep when I loaded him in the car and we hit the road. We were 30 minutes into our drive when Tyler shouted, "Oh NO, where my pants go? Dada....turn around!" LOL!
- Rolf told Tyler we had to stop and get gas when Tyler told him, "no dada...get diesel in twuck." ha!
- We were driving through Jack in the Box the other night when Tyler shouted, "move bird, I won chi burger!" (there was a bird in the driveway...ha!) He was also talking to the drive thru lady and when she asked if Rolf wanted a Dr. Pepper he screamed from the backseat, "YAW!" hilarious!
- Tyler tells on himself quite a bit. I know it won't last but it's really funny. He ran into the bathroom the other night when I was in the shower (with powder in his hair) and told me "I make meth." Really? ha!
- I have no idea where this one came from.... We were walking to get the mail the other night and he told me, "Mommy I freakin' out!" what???? I asked him why and he said, "because I freakin' out!" um, okay. haha!
- The other night Rolf called on his way home and Tyler told him, "Dada get HOME!" :) Then when Rolf walked in the door he said, "Dada, have good day?" so sweet.
- This is my favorite update that will be hard to top! My Mom found a book (with a built-in piano) full of kid praise songs. Tyler and I (mostly me) play and sing it every night before bed. His favorite song is Jesus Loves Me. He usually runs around while I sing and play the piano not paying much attention as long as I don't stop playing. We (I) finished singing the other night and he said "Mommy Gee suff LOVES ME" as he patted his belly. Yes he does buddy! :) :) :)

Fishy Kisses
Monday, July 25, 2011
This weekend we were playing in the pool and out of nowhere Tyler picked up his fish and started hugging, cuddling and kissing them. It was so sweet!!

He tucked "Neno" under his arm and carried him like this for awhile. :)

Going in for the kiss

Back to normal boy play.....here he is telling me to "reach for the stars!" (aka as hold'em up!)

See that boat going by?

Tyler stopped mid-play and screamed "pontoon boat!" This is his favorite type of boat ever since the boat show. However, I'm pretty sure he won't convince Dada and Poppy this is the next type fishing boat they need to buy. ;)

Back to kissing his fish...ha!

Speaking of fish. I went to check on Tyler before I went to bed last night and found him like this....

Can you see him? He INSISTS on sleeping with this massive fish pillow every.single.night. It takes up more of the bed than he does! My dad's best friend gave Tyler this fish when he was a newborn and he's really taken to it the last several months. I'm hoping this doesn't become his lovey of choice....can you imagine having to take this thing to the grocery store? It would need its own cart! hahahaha!

Towel Head & Updates
Friday, July 22, 2011
I love love love hooded towels that look like animals. It cracks me up to see Tyler wearing them. He has a longhorn (I know I'm an Aggie but this towel is too cute!), chicken, dinosaur, cowboy and a few others that I can't remember right now. Here he is wearing his longhorn towel. :)

Those horns crack me up!

It's been awhile since I wrote down my "Tyler notes" from my phone so here we go! I feel like everyday there is something new and it's so much fun!

Those horns crack me up!

It's been awhile since I wrote down my "Tyler notes" from my phone so here we go! I feel like everyday there is something new and it's so much fun!
- chi wada- enchilada. Tyler loves chi wadas!
- Mac uh gonnie and chi- macaroni and cheese. Another favorite around our house!
- kenny- candy. ha!
- yaw- our little German/Texan boy's way of saying yes. lol!
- sweet tarts- pop tarts :)
- pee keh-fullll- be careful
- becauth- because. This is his favorite new word when I ask him why he did something.
- why? oh the why stage! (I usually answer with because...hahaha!)
- We have quite the little maintenance/trash man on our hands. We can't go ANYWHERE without him pointing out trash on the ground. His favorite place to play maintenance man is the park. I've almost lost it a few times when he picked up someone else's juice box and threw it in the trash. It's sweet and all but blech!
- When we get home in the evenings Tyler likes to get "his bawa" (gatorade) out of the outside fridge. One evening he dumped a brand new gatorade in the yard, on purpose. The next night he told me "I won dump it yard" and I threatened that if he dumped his bawa he wasn't getting any for the rest of the week. He's two and probably had no clue what I was saying but it felt good to say it anyway. Fast forward 15 minutes. Every evening Tyler piles all of his toys in his wagon and we go get the mail. This particular night he wanted to take his bawa. We got the mail and I cut the corner too close dumping him and all of his toys on the ground. He FREAKED out. I thought he was hurt until he started crying saying, "OH NO! OH NO! OH NO! BAWA SPILL!" I stopped for a second and cracked up! Obviously he understood what I had said earlier and was worried he wouldn't get any gatorade for the rest of the week. Who says kids don't understand?! It wasn't until 10 minutes later did I even realize Tyler had skinned his elbow pretty badly when I dumped him out of the wagon. He didn't care one bit as long as he could still have gatorade.
- Tyler LOVES pediasure. Like, can't get enough of it. I'm pretty sure most kids turn their nose up at the thought of having to drink a "nutrition drink" but not Tyler...he calls it his milkshake. ha!
- Every time Tyler sees Rolf or me putting deodorant on he lifts his shirt and demands he put some on. Of course we just pretend but he thinks it's for real and gets super excited. Cute. :)
- If Tyler has a chance to be in one of our vehicles "driving" then you can bet he's honking the horn non stop. It's cute, at first. We're always telling him to stop honking the horn, don't honk the horn, Tyler DO NOT honk the horn. Well, the other day someone cut me off on the way to school so I honked at them. Tyler said, "NO Mommy, no honk horn!" LOL!
- "eh okay Mommy? Mommy okay?" Sweet boy is always making sure his Mommy is okay. Usually for no reason other than he just wants to know. :)
- One of Mrs. Andrea's daughters is home from college for the summer. Her name is Katie. Tyler adores Katie. He always asks me where Katie go to which I reply, "at home." He immediately corrects me with, "no Mommy, Katie at Ocha's (Andrea's) house!" Haha. I guess it never occurred to me that he sees Katie as a visitor.
- Tyler calls his scabs brown bobos. He has A LOT of brown bobos right now. He tells me "kith my brown bobo."
- Tyler hasn't bitten me in a few weeks (thank goodness) but when he's mad he tells me "Mommy I won bite!" Um...no sir!! It makes me laugh that he warns me though. Ahhhh!
- The other night Tyler told Rolf, "I won see boats puter" so he and Rolf went into the computer room to look at boats. Rolf pulled up the first boat he could find and Tyler said, "ohhh nice boat!" ha! Then he said, "Motor go brrrr brrr" complete with hand motions. Hilarious!
- "Ho'd on Mommy, I be right back."
- I saved the best for last. Well, I guess it's not really the best but considering the hunting family that Tyler comes from it's probably a story that none of us will forget. The other night we were driving to the creek and it was dark. We were on our final stretch when all of a sudden something appeared in the road and before we knew it we hit it. I screamed like a little girl, threw my hands over my face and ducked down as if whatever it was was coming through the window...ha! Rolf said it was a pig. There is no doubt that the little pig didn't make it and I SWEAR I heard a scream. We get to the creek 10 minutes later and the first thing out of Tyler's mouth was, "I HIT PIG!" OMG......my two year old was fired up over this. Of course we all laughed and told him it was an accident but he went on and on and on about it. "Pig in road, we go fast, I hit pig!" Oh geez.... Let me tell you, he has NOT forgotten this incident and has asked about the pig everyday for 3 weeks. Don't think he's concerned. He tells me everyday he wants to "hit pig" again. He tells EVERYONE we come into contact with about the pig. Apparently hunting is in your genes.
Happy FRIDAY!!!!
