Cozy on the Couch

Hailey Kate is a popcorn lover!
"I get cozy on couch, eat pah-corn!"

When Hailey doesn't like something she makes sure to tell you.  In fact, I wrote her favorite phrase "I can't like it" on a piece of paper and display it on my dashboard because that's life, right??  I think we all come across things that "I can't like it!"

Hailey is also the master of destroying the living room in 2 seconds flat.  All of this happened while I heat pressed a shirt in the kitchen for 8 minutes.  Notice her resting on the couch as if she's exhausted from her tornado run.  ;-p

Sunday school crafts are my favorite!!

I'm also loving her adorable dress that was a hand-me-down from a friend.

We're still loving our "bah-bah" too.  Something I want to remember is how she coaxes herself to sleep by rubbing her thumb on the plastic part.

We have quite the collection of pacis and I honestly don't have plans to get rid of them just yet.  I'm attempting to limit her use of them but it's really not the end of the world that she still has them.  (I remember feeling really weird that Tyler still had his paci at this age but this time around I'm all "who cares!"  I like this feeling better!)  She won't go to kindergarten with it- Tyler is proof of that!

Passed out!  Bah-bah's- check, bag of chips- check!
Hailey gives me a run for my money but I sure do love that little girl!!

Birthday Weekend Recap

TGIF!  This is a late birthday recap from last weekend!

Last Friday I woke up looking and clearly feeling like a unicorn.  What the heck is going on with my ponytail?!  HAHA!

After school and work the kids begged to go to the park.

I left this picture in to remember that my old man flew off his swing and declared that "he felt rain and we should leave NOW!"  (spoiler alert- there were 10 drops and we stayed)

Friday night was dinner on the couch- yeah baby!!

After dinner we headed outside for some bike and scooter tricks!

Saturday morning I woke up feeling under the weather and thus began the "I'm being steam rolled by an almost 3 year old" part of the weekend.  Hailey looks so cute and sweet here.

I made the kids muffins (the house smelled amazing) and one of them liked it!

Baby sick ward.  Lots and lots of band-aids.

Saturday was supposed to be nice but instead it rained and turned cold.  Tyler wasn't giving up on the "biking to the park" idea I threw out on Friday.  I admit to being pretty proud that he knew how to air all of our bike tires up completely unassisted.  Life skills!  (take that 3rd grade!)

I bribed Tyler to please let me take a nap while Hailey was down and if he did we could go to Target to burn his gift card.  I'm not above bribery!  Hailey even found a few things she put on her birthday list.  :)

Sunday morning was my birthday and we woke up to GORGEOUS weather, a really great church service, not so great grocery trip and an awesome bike trip to the park!

Tires aired up, trailer hooked up, lunches packed- let's do this!

Such a beautiful day!! Tyler absolutely loved this part of the day and seeing him so excited made me excited!

Half of our park trip Tyler and I ignored the little gremlin that looked like this.  Fake cry for the win.
Seriously, whyyyy is 3 so hard?!!!  They're so cute but oh my gosh they're tough!  There is some serious truth to "threenager!"  (and she's not even 3 for another month!!)

Back home I put H down for a nap, Tyler went to hang with my Dad and I did yoga on the back patio.  It was such a treat!!

Back inside, feeling refreshed, and H was still napping.

...so I got some "sick" tea and laid in my bed!

Rolf got home from his trip around 4:30 and by 5:15 we were loaded in my car for birthday dinner!  Tyler requested Pop ride in the very back with him.  Oh my!!

The gang's all here!

Fast forward 2.5 hours later and we were finally done with dinner.  Long story but we made the most of it and tag-teamed the little gremlin.

Back home for presents and dessert!

Crazy town.....

We created those little monsters!

My Mom knows her daughter's sensitive stomach so it was jello with fruit for my birthday "cake!"  PERFECT (and delicious)!!

Crazy family kazoo serenade.
(I have a vivid memory of hearing Hailey's sweet voice amongst the kazoo craziness- so cute!)

My sweet Mama who always, always, always makes birthdays feel so special.  Love you Mom!

"Mom, hold me like you hold Hailey."

If I wasn't 6' tall, I swear this boy's feet would be dragging the ground!

Present fun!

Rolf and his wrapping jobs.....

My cling-on.
Whew!  What a weekend!
Cheers to 36!!

If I'm being completely honest, I feel like I look worn out, sick and exhausted in all of the birthday pictures.  I don't think I'll agree to Rolf hosting clients out of town on my birthday ever again.  HAHAHA!!
