I dressed Hailey in a cute western outfit but she was having none of the full body shots, as evidenced below!  ha!

 

 

 

 

Rolf said he didn't remember Tyler crawling like that and I told him it's because he didn't!  Tyler was straight to all 4's so we'll see how long this little snake slithers through the house, it's funny!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The latest development is getting to ride in the car without a booster.  After almost 7 years of needing a car seat, it seems weird to see him riding back there with nothing!!  He has his eye on the front seat but still has a ways to go before he can do that.  :)

 

Tyler got creative for his "gun holster" using a bungee cord.

Writing Valentines for his class.  (3 days earlier he asked me what Valentines were...what?!!)

I gave Tyler some money for the book fair and he was THRILLED to come home with this puppy diary.  He is very serious about this diary and writes in it every night.  I'm dying to know what he writes in there.  ha! 

One evening Rolf called on his way home and said he was going to the jet ski shop that night.  Tyler took that phone call VERY seriously and unlocked/opened the side garage and literally pulled the jet ski out by himself.  Rolf backed into the driveway and I saw T out there directing him to the trailer then lowering it down on the hitch.  These are good skills to know but it seriously cracks me up!!     

 

Tyler handed me this note one morning on the way out the door "because you forget everything, Mom."  Heh.....

This is a picture of one happy boy in the car at pick-up after showing me his 100 on the big district test!!  He also received a very rare $20 Tiger Buck for the school store!  We are very proud of him for working hard!

Tyler had to complete a timeline project for school of events throughout his life.  A lot of the events we picked were firsts so keep that in mind when you see the next picture.....

Some Tyler-isms:

• "Pop took me to the donut shop this morning and I cut my donut holes with my pocket knife."  (ew!)  Later my dad tells me that they had a very in-depth conversation about whether that knife would skin a deer.  When Pop told him probably not he said "yeah well it'll skin a hog for sure!"
• Tyler sees all the men he knows carrying around their YETI cups and he has recently taken to one of Rolf's.  He told my Dad as they're heading out the door,"Grab dat YETI."
• When talking about his girlfriends at school: "Mostly I been spying on Nicole since kindergarten"
• Things you thought you would never utter to your kid: "Tyler, when you kill something in the bathroom make sure you clean up afterwards.  There are still legs in the sink!"  It was just the remains of a mosquito hawk but they don't stand a chance with the nerf guns at our house!

 

Back at the farm Tyler was lovin' on "his" dog, Pepper.

I was putting Hailey down for a nap and Tyler came running inside.  "Mom, you have to see this!!"  Rolf bought him a BB gun for scoring a 100 on his super, duper important district math test!  We were so proud of him for working hard and he was FIRED UP over this BB gun. 

 

 

I mean.....

 

The rest of the weekend was planned around when Tyler could/would/should "shoot dat bb gun."  There's a turtle just asking to be shot down at the pond, according to Tyler.  ha!

Saturday night we sang to Rolf for his birthday on Sunday!

 

 

Sunday we went to look at some property and enjoyed the last day of peace before heading back to the grind!
