Lately

I don't have many pictures to share from the last week or so because my poor little man has looked like this most of the time...... :( :( :(
Tyler came down with a stomach virus last week and after his first day back at school yesterday he was crying because of an earache. Thankfully we were able to get an after hours appointment with our pedi and she confirmed the ear infection and croupy cough. We have a round of antibiotics and hopefully he'll be feeling better soon. I feel so bad that he has been so sick. :(
We did celebrate Rolf's 30th birthday (at 5am last Friday morning...ahhhh!) with some fun gifts T picked out for him at the dollar store (so cute!) and a basket full of "30 favorite things."
We also decorated a boot for Tyler's school rodeo days. Of course I had a ton of fun with this!
I promise T wasn't as sick as he looks in the picture below when we slipped into Sam's one day! He "wanted to be covered up all the way." ha!
Sunday we spent a little time outside and Tyler found a way to pull his wagon behind his bike. He's always finding new ways to haul something!
Here's hoping Tyler is on the mend soon.

Tyler's "new" ride!
Wednesday, February 20, 2013
Mikayla outgrew her old bike and is on to bigger and better bikes so she gave her old one to Tyler! He is THRILLED!!! It's girly but we don't care! We might eventually paint it "John Deere green" but for now Tyler is happily learning to pedal on his "princess girly bike." hehe.
Tyler picked up on pedaling pretty quickly (after Rolf fixed the training wheels that I didn't install correctly.......guess that's one way to learn to ride without them?! yikes...)
He is still learning what brakes are, apparently. ha!
Tyler still likes to ride his "boy bike dat goes real fast!"
Riding goggles are VERY important. ha!
The boy is getting really fast!
Here I am mid-sprint trying to keep up with him!!
Little man has been sick the last few days so he hasn't been able to ride his bike (much to his disappointment) but last night I took him for a quick spin (which resulted in me carrying him back and pushing the bike). He insisted his monkey take a ride too......so cute!
Thank you Mikayla for the "new" bike!
Daleigh's 2nd Birthday!
Wednesday, February 20, 2013
This past weekend we celebrated Daleigh's 2nd birthday!
Tyler and Mikayla getting in the party spirit.
This picture is mostly to show off Tyler's "real cowboy boots" that he LOVES. I think they're pretty cute myself. ;)
Mikayla and I showed off our excellent sporting abilities. Can you sense the sarcasm?!
This picture makes me laugh SO hard! I love it!
(M was actually pretty good with the football, her Mommy just caught her at a bad time!)
Tyler did A LOT of running........ (and falling in the sand. blech!)
Sweet D playing ball with Mikayla.
Walking the sandbox edges because their moms won't let them get in.......ha! (mine eventually ended up in the sandpit but we kept them out as long as possible!)
Happy Birthday, D!!
Happy Valentine's Day!

Tyler had his Valentine's Day party at school yesterday and was thrilled about his goodies! We had a blast digging through his bag last night.
I love this crazy little valentine boy!
Footie Pajamas
Tuesday, February 12, 2013
I've always loved footie jammies and I'll be so sad when Tyler outgrows them! Last night was chilly so Tyler wore his dinosaur footie jammies and insisted that his friend Pluto wear some too...ha!
Two footie jammie boys....
Look at Pluto's monkey feet...hehe.
"Pluto, smile with your tongue out!"
Friday Phone Dump
Friday, February 8, 2013
Happy Friday! I don't have many pictures to share but I did want to clear them off my phone and blog some recent funnies from the little man. :)
Tyler loves his "new" fishing game! Notice how he has the boat pulled alongside the "pond" and the poles are "fishing" off the sides?! Ha! I love it!
I bought this game a long time ago at a friend's garage sale because it was on of my favorite games when I was a little girl. I've been hiding it in the closet for a rainy day and that kid crying all the way home rainy day came one night after school.
I picked Tyler up and he immediately told me that "Jackson W's mom said it was okay if he came over tonight so we need to get home so he can come over. We can't cook dinner tonight because he's coming over. I'm going to get two bags of chips...one for me and one for him." He was insistent that this was going to happen (I don't even know his mom!) and when I explained that we didn't know her number/where they lived he was not taking that for an answer. All the way home he was crying and then told me, "you see that dog over der?" No. (what is he talking about??!!) "Mommy, dat dog! Just look up Jackson W's address where dat dog is." OMGosh what is he talking about?! Finally I realized that he was pointing to the Sirius radio "dog" on my gps screen in the car. He was implying that we can simply look up his address "on dat dog." Um wow....and I wonder why my brain is fried...ha! Numbers all day at work and then kid puzzles at night...ahhhh!
AnyWAYS....needless to say our night was not starting well. It's so hard to explain this whole concept to a 3-year old! Poor thing was so innocent and sweet about it (and I was exhausted). I busted out the "rainy day" game and we ended the night on a good note. whew!!!
One Saturday morning Tyler insisted that I "make him a pony tail like D's." Ha...ok! (this was obviously pre haircut)
Workin' away. So cute!
Just a picture to show his cool new haircut from Ms. Kirsten! He still hates haircuts and we still have to pull out all of the stops.....
Buddy is working again at HEB! We've been saving bucks for over a month. It's the little things!
Last night we discovered that Tyler wore the tread off of his gator tire and it cracked. He really, really uses this machine! I'm calling to order a new set today....ha! This is one of those fast forward moments where I feel like he's 16....I see a lot of tire purchases in our future!
Now for some funnies I have written down in my phone that I don't want to forget. :)
- "Mom, I'll be riding my bike in the driveway. If daddy runs over me come get me, ok?!" Um ok?
- "I have really big eyebrows!" (while pointing to his nipples) cracked.me.up.
- This morning my parents picked Tyler up for a day at the farm and 15 minutes later she sent me a text.....
- M: "Did the tooth fairy come?!"
- K: "um what?!"
- M: "T says he lost 2 teeth on the bottom but I can't see in his mouth. Will look when it gets daylight. Putting tongue in the spot of lost teeth."
- K: "First I've heard that. Pretty sure I brushed a full set last night! lol."
- M: "Bailey ate his teeth"
- Silence..............
- M: "ok, none gone. silly goose."
- K: "haha! ok whew!"
- M: "Pebbles is going to eat Poppy's teeth! haha! We are having fun."
- Silence..............
This boy has us constantly laughing!
Dove Hunting
Wednesday, February 6, 2013
The other evening Tyler ran into the house saying, "Mommy, I need my gun because der are lots of dove out der flyin' around!"
I laughed so hard and then quickly followed him outside to see him shooting the air doves.
"I'm uh sit right here and wait for dem doves."
A little dove hunting video.....
This boy cracks me up!!
Weekend Fun!
Monday, February 4, 2013
We had some absolutely BEAUTIFUL weather this past weekend! We are soaking this nice weather up and hoping it sticks around for awhile.
Saturday morning Tyler and I did our big month-long grocery shopping trip and he was such a good boy. Thank you HEB race car buggies...ha! I treated him to a trip to the dollar store and a bike ride to the playground. He was SO happy to be riding in his bike trailer again (me too)!
Who is this big boy?!
I'm so happy to report that we are having far less "3 year old days" and more "my kid is back!!" days. Mommy is happy! (we don't have to discuss this morning that I'm still detoxing from......)
Tyler also spent part of Saturday loading and unloading his gator on a trailer that Rolf brought home. He was thrilled to have a real trailer to "hook up to dat gator."
Hitch perfectly centered and chains hooked onto his tailgate! ha! They learn so fast!
"Mommy, I have a full load!"
Sunday we headed to Bear Creek park to look at the animals, ride bikes and play on the playgrounds. We had SO much fun!!
