New 4-wheeler

Tyler's big gift from Rolf and I was a gas 4-wheeler.  The kid has been asking for one of these since before he turned 4.  ha!  We didn't give him any clues that he might be getting one but Rolf has had this in the works for at least 2 years (we bought a used one from a friend!)

I didn't know we were planning to give it to Tyler before his actual birthday but Rolf thought it was a good idea since he would have time to ride it on the weekend (since his birthday fell on a Tuesday.)  I'm always game for giving presents early so of course I was happy to agree!

After the party my dad took Tyler to his house "to get Pepper" and Rolf ran next door to retrieve the hidden out 4-wheeler.  I think it's safe to say Rolf loves this little bike just as much as T.  ha!

Waiting for the boy to arrive!!

My phone was out of memory so my video of Tyler seeing the 4-wheeler for the first time didn't work but he was SO, SO excited.  We told him we needed to clean up the party décor in the backyard but we really had the 4-wheeler hidden out back there.  He rounded the corner and whispered "there's a 4-wheeler back there" and then started sprinting toward it!

HAPPY BOY!!!  He was so surprised!

Taking Daddy for a spin.....

All by himself!!

Does this bring a whole new meaning to "family walk" or what?!  ha!

We are definitely getting our exercise!
The plan is to keep the 4-wheeler at the farm or creek but right now we're hauling it around from place to place so Tyler can learn how to drive (and I don't think he would let us leave it anywhere at this point!)

Tyler is so cautious on his new bike and happy as can be.  (my dad put a restrictor (??) on it so it can only go so fast....whew.)  Many, many 4-wheeler pictures to come!

Tyler's Actual Birthday

I'm still sorting through 100s (!!!) of birthday party pictures from last weekend so I thought I would share what we did for Tyler's actual birthday.  :)

The day started with breakfast from "Old McDonald's" and drop off at Ms. Andrea's.  My big five year old!!

I left work a little early and my Mom and Tyler picked me up for a little birthday treat at Build-A-Bear!  We've never been there and Tyler is very into his stuffed animals so I thought he would get a kick out of that place.  It was SO neat and fun, even for adults!

Tyler's favorite part was the cleaning station.  (we told the lady it was Tyler's birthday so she brought out crowns for T and his new animal)

Our newest family member, Coco!

Coco even has his own car seat in our car......ha!

Tyler gets the biggest kick out of having a car seat for his animals.  I would have killed to have one of my old seats as a little girl for my dolls so what the heck?!  It's better than letting the seat rot in the hot attic!

We got home early that day and so did Rolf so we hightailed it to the bayou where they rode T's new 4-wheeler (blog about that coming) and I chased them on my bike.  ha!

Monday evening was DWTS family night at my mom's so she picked T up from school.  He got to pick out some balloons from Kroger and he was SO happy!

We sang happy birthday and shared a delicious cookie cake!

Dancing with his deer target.  HA!!
I'd say this boy has had the best birthday celebrations he could have imagined!

5 on the dot!

It's 3:59pm and our boy is officially FIVE years old!!  Wow!

Tyler's 5th Year

Today, March 25th, our sweet Tyler James turns 5 years old!  FIVE!!!  I cannot believe my baby is 5.  I feel like we were just at the hospital waiting to meet our boy!  Time flies.

I can already tell this age is silly and will keep us laughing!  Here's Tyler's 5th year summed up in pictures.......
