*insert anything* (dog, ball, book, pig, deer, etc.)

This is Tyler's latest "trick" per sa. It started with us asking him where the dog was and putting our hands up....he caught on very quickly and now he does it on his own all the time. Anytime he can't find something this is what he does....hehe. So cute!!!

Cat

Remember Panda (the cat) from Tyler's play date with Miss. Kinley? Tyler chased Panda around exclaiming "cat" anytime he got within reach. Well, ever since then Tyler thinks the pheasant on our wall is a "cat." (sounds like "kot") He points it out every night! LOL!
What do you think.....looks like a "kot" doesn't it?!

Silly little boy :)

Play date with Kinley

Sunday morning Tyler and I picked Rachel up and headed to Kam and Kinley's house for a play date! The last time the 3 of us girls were all together Kam was pregnant with Kinley, Rachel wasn't married yet and Tyler was only 3 months old...time flies! We had a great time chatting it up and watching the little ones get into everything. (Kinley and Tyler go to the same "school" now but the Mommies never get to see them play together so this was a treat!)

Kinley and Panda (poor Panda...he wasn't left alone all day!)

Uh-oh, looks like she'll be chasing those boys at school before too long!

Finally a picture playing together!

Little Gym
Thursday, August 26, 2010
Friday night Leslie and Blair invited Tyler and I to The Little Gym's open house. How fun! We got there about 45 minutes after it started and they were in the middle of an activity. I was anxious to get T in the gym and get started! They were playing fun music, had props, fun teachers, etc. Blair was having a blast and knew exactly what to do....I knew Tyler would follow right along if Blair was doing it. (you can start laughing now) Let's just say that Tyler was not impressed with the place....ha! He was glued to me so tight I could barely move.....I think he was freaked by all of the commotion.
I took him over to some of the gym equipment, away from the main action, and he climbed a little bit but was still very cautious.

Eventually he made his way back to the big activity mat and did the chicken dance for a bit! At least he was doing something!

New activity time! All of the kids each got a "noodle" to run, sing, dance, etc. with. Perfect...dancing and singing...T will love this!

Man, he loves this. (said with major sarcasm)
At least Blair was having fun!

T-man was having an *okay* time until the balls came out. He was a HAPPY camper then!!!

Do you hear that?

Listen around 17 seconds......
That's not my sweet little boy snoring......
It's his daddy! ROFLOL! Obviously he passed out trying to put Tyler to sleep! I sat there and listened to the monitor for over 10 minutes....it was hilarious!
Words
Monday, August 16, 2010
It's funny to me what words Tyler picks up on almost immediately. For the past couple of weeks I've been working on "pig" (my favorite animal). Yesterday, Rolf was working on the jet ski and he told him it was a boat. Well, five minutes later that was his favorite word and he's been pointing boats out to us ever since. No fair! What happened to "pig"?!! I guess he's got his priorities in order!
Some other fun things he's been doing/saying lately....

Some other fun things he's been doing/saying lately....
- "Ball" He loves balls! My Mom taught him to play "touchdown" and Rolf, Oma and Opa taught him to play soccer! The other night we were over at our neighbor's house and she has some of the decorative balls in her entryway. We couldn't figure out where he was spotting a ball until he finally went over there and pointed them out to us.....all the while looking at us like, "duh!" I guess those are balls after all....ha!
- He calls the dog just like Rolf does. Clapping and yelling "ah, ah, ah" (which is really "back, back, back" when Rolf says it) hehe.
- Picks up any phone he can find and says "hello" (which sounds like whoa)
- My personal favorite: giving kisses!!
- Washing his hands. Anytime I'm using my anti-bacterial waterless stuff, he rubs his hands together and wants some as well. That's my boy! :)
- As mentioned, his favorite dance is the chicken dance. Does it all the time! Friday night he was tired and cuddling with me on the couch (something that rarely ever happens!). A song came on TV and in slow motion he clapped his hands and flapped one chicken wing. Little man can't stand to not chicken dance even if he's dog tired. I love it!
Here are a few fun pictures that Anja snapped at the anniversary party. You knew that if there was a tractor within 5 miles of the place, Tyler would find it!
Anniversary Party
Monday, August 16, 2010
I'm a weekend behind on my blogs. Last weekend we celebrated Oma and Opa's 25th wedding anniversary! It was a fun party! Happy anniversary!

Picture of my little man before we left. I love his little outfit :)

Kisses from/for Molly before we leave

For the first 30 minutes we were at the hall Tyler ran around "oohhing." He was so happy!

Wonder what he sees?

It was a tractor! Of course! (Eventually Poppy took him out to "ride" the tractor and he was a very happy camper!)

Meeting the band...Tyler was very interested in what they were doing.

Bernie and Rolf

Such a good helper. (he "helped" move the ice from the keg to the other trash can....just what Daddy wanted...ha!)

We couldn't get Tyler to quit looking at the beer

So, I took the beer and put it on my head. My parents laughed, Tyler looked and I snapped the picture! Works every time!

Auntie and T

Meet Tyler's new family......he seriously loved O&O's neighbors, especially their son! He decided he needed to sit with them through dinner. Hilarious!
